Prince’s sword returns to Scotland

All Jacobite enthusiasts have been excited to read this week’s news, that a sword once gifted to Prince Charles Edward Stuart is set to return to Scotland for public display. The silver-hilted broadsword, sent to the prince by the Duke of Perth in 1739, will be shown in the place where it was originally made – Perth. The former city hall has been transformed into the new home of the civic museum following a £27million refurbishment. It will open in March 2024, with the prince’s sword sure to be one of the star attractions.
